Those in attendance of the Finance Department Day at TEAM were: Ann Meis (AFC NE), Jane Tuttle (BOD and KS), Susan Nelson (AFC TX), Bill Dunn (treasurer of NCA/HI).

Our group of four discussed the 990 form which is filed with IRS each year. We discussed how to prepare it as well as particular problems that individuals had had. Further discussion ensued about IRS requirements for filing.

Jane Tuttle, BOD member and past AT of KS, led a discussion regarding fund raising, World Breastfeeding Week, etc. The group shared different types of financial reports/forms that were used in the various Areas represented.

Barbara Emanuel and Becky Hugh came in to participate in a discussion of the creation of a Division financial workgroup and how it might differ from how the Division Finance Department operated in the past. The AFCs were asked what specific needs they had as an Area that a Division finance group could help with, and how should a finance workgroup be formed to better meet Area needs?

We also networked with the Events Department to talk about how different Areas handle conference finances and other related subjects.
