Leader Accreditation Dept.

On Department Day, Leader Accreditation Depart (LAD) representatives met with Joel Getzendanner and brainstormed various possibilities for LAD in the future. We were joined by LLLI Board members Heidi BK Sloss and Marcia Lutostanski. We spent most of the rest of the day talking about responding to challenging application dialogue (using prototype situations). LAD announces two new RALAs: Laura Warren (MO, US), and Vicki Parnell (BC, Canada). We have three Regions. The content of each Region (which Areas are in it) is flexible. We consider things like balancing the workload, geographic location of RALAs, and input from CLAs.

It was wonderful for us that TEAM was in KC. I am grateful that the three LADies currently working with MO Applicants (myself, Laura and Anna) were able to attend the (LAD) department session day. It really helped me to connect with other LADies from all levels of experience. I gained a deeper understanding of all sorts of LAD issues. I use MANY of the resources I received at TEAM in my work with Applicants and Leaders. Also, my experience at TEAM helped me in deciding whether or not I could move from being ACLA to CLA.
