I
loved it!! Going to TEAM, for me, was a very validating experience. I
have been trying to learn all that I can about the Renewal Initiative
and about operating in a more distributed manner. After being at LLL for
only seven months, all of this is still new to me. It was very exciting
to be with so many determined women who were trying hard to implement
this new way of working. To see the strength of commitment so many Leaders
have, to see the willingness to change, and to feel the excitement, was
like being with a group of pioneers who believe that they have almost
arrived at their promised destination. Each day there were more opportunities to try new things. It was great to see the new bylaws of Heartland and to see so many Areas that wanted more information about how to do this as well. Some Areas, of course, had a "wait and see" attitude, but there was no verbalization of rejection or feelings that it can't be done. And the Leaders truly embraced the leadership training and the different way of thinking about learning and motivation styles, and ways to examine our values, assumptions, beliefs, and expectations. I hope these sessions will enhance LLL's acceptance of diversity. But the best part of all was the opportunity to meet and talk to so
many wonderful and committed women. |
