La Leche League International

La Leche League is an international nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information, and education to women who want to breastfeed.

La Leche League offers:

Meeting Information

Neighborhood meetings are the heart and soul of La Leche League. There you will meet other breastfeeding mothers, learn about breastfeeding management, discuss parenting issues with other mothers, and feel comfortable in an environment where breastfeeding is the norm. La Leche League offers a series of FREE monthly meetings that discuss the following general topics:

  • The importance of breastfeeding
  • Childbirth and the early days with the new baby
  • The art of breastfeeding and avoiding difficulties
  • Nutrition and weaning

We also always address the questions and concerns of the mothers who attend.

All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call a volunteer Leader for breastfeeding help or information. Children and babies are welcome.

We have monthly meetings in Layton and Ogden:

  • 2nd Friday, 12:00 p.m., Ogden (Marriott-Slaterville)
  • 3rd Tuesday, 4:30 p.m., Layton
  • 3rd Thursday, 6:30 p.m., South Ogden
  • 4th Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., Downtown Ogden

Membership Information

The financial support of mothers who came before us ensured that La Leche league is here for us today. We invite you to join La Leche League today so we can be here for others in the future. As a member, you’ll :

  • Appreciate the companionship of other mothers and babies who are breastfeeding and the opportunity for in-depth discussions of parenting issues with others who share your interests and concerns at regular LLL Group meetings.
