Big Latch On
On Saturday August 6th 2011 at 10:30am local time in locations across the
USA, nursing mothers will gather to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week and
try to break the record for the most women
breastfeeding simultaneously!
At each
registered location, witnesses will
count
all the mothers that have latched their babies on for
one minute at 10:30am.

outdoor event in the hospital's Prayer Garden on August 6th 2011. It is
my understanding that Ann Brown, founder of the BLO will be in town and
plans to attend our event. We are so pleased to welcome her to our
event. As a hospital based LC I am already preparing our nursing staff
and the LC covering the unit that day to get all breastfed babies to
breast around 10:20 to maximize our numbers. This will be my 5th year
sponsoring a WBW event at SFMC. We will be hosting 2 WBW events this
year BLO as wall as our 5th annual WBW/Breastfeeding Families
Celebration in the Prayer Garden on October 6th 2011. |
