Coin Collection Pots

Julie Johnson with LLL of Whittier, California, says “One mom from our Group decorated about 30 or so clay flowerpots with ribbon and a button. She wrote on the flowerpots 'LLL of Whittier: Your coins help us grow!' We distributed the flowerpots to all Members at the end of June with instructions to add coins to the pot throughout the month, and then bring the coins to our WBW celebration on August 7th. We put the invitation to our celebration right in the pot and it looked really cute! The moms said they liked having the pots in their homes ... they were attractive and was a constant reminder that WBW was coming up, and to attend the celebration. We had lots of moms bring their flower pots to the event and we collected approx $200 in coins. We will definitely be doing the flowerpots again this year.”
